CPotD #54 (Silver Cove)

There’s a saying amongst Corvair folks, “a silver cover will add 10 HP to your car.” For two years, 1965 and ’66, Chevrolet offered the Corsa model as the replacement to the early model’s top-of-the-performance-line Spyder. Available only as a 2-door hardtop or convertible, these models came with a 4-speed manual transmission and either a 4-carb 140 HP engine or the turbo-charged 180 HP. In addition to the CORSA script on the fender, the main clue this car was extra special was the Argent Silver painted rear cover. Norm Witte has two beautiful Corsa’s, a blue convertible and this red hardtop. Take a look at his website for more info and pictures.
